How do I scan food with VeggieLens?
Simply open the app, point your camera at the food or ingredient list, and tap
the scan button. You can also select photos from your gallery. Our AI will analyze the image and
tell you if it's vegan or vegetarian.
How accurate is the AI analysis?
VeggieLens uses advanced AI technology for high accuracy, but results are
predictions. For critical dietary decisions, always verify ingredients independently.
💎 Subscription & Pricing
What's included in the free version?
Free users get 10 scans per month plus 1 daily scan after reaching the monthly
limit. You can also earn additional free scans by watching optional ads.
What do I get with VeggieLens Pro?
Pro subscribers enjoy unlimited scans with no restrictions. Perfect for frequent
food scanners and those with specific dietary needs.
How do I restore my purchase?
Go to Settings in the app and tap "Restore Purchases". This will restore any
previous subscriptions linked to your Apple ID.
🔒 Privacy & Security
What happens to my photos?
Images are sent to Google's AI for analysis but are not stored by VeggieLens or
Google. Your scan history is saved locally on your device only.
Can I delete my scan history?
Yes! Your scan history is stored locally on your device. You can delete
individual scans in the History tab or remove all data by deleting the app.
🛠Troubleshooting
The camera isn't working
Make sure VeggieLens has camera permission in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security
> Camera. You can also use photos from your gallery instead.
Scans are taking too long or failing
Ensure you have a stable internet connection. For best results, make sure
ingredients or food are clearly visible and well-lit in the photo.
I think the AI gave an incorrect result
You can report incorrect results using the feedback button (🟠) in the scan
result screen. This helps us improve the AI's accuracy.
