VeggieLens is designed with privacy in mind. We collect minimal data necessary to provide our food analysis service.

• Images are sent to Google's Gemini AI API for food analysis
• Images are processed but not stored by VeggieLens or Google
• No personally identifiable information is collected unless explicitly provided by the user

2. Third-Party Services

VeggieLens integrates with the following third-party services:

• Google Gemini API: Used for AI-powered food analysis
• Google AdMob: Provides optional rewarded advertising

Users can opt out of personalized advertising through their device settings in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Apple Advertising.

3. Children's Privacy

Our app does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete such information immediately.

4. Data Security

We strive to use commercially acceptable means of protecting your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

VeggieLens stores scan history locally on your device. This data remains under your control and can be deleted by removing the app from your device.

You have the right to:

• Access your scan history within the app
• Delete your scan history by removing the app
• Contact us with any privacy concerns

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the effective date.
